how is that romantic?

Contrary to what it may suggest, the 'romantic' gallery does not equal happy couples, hearts and other assorted Valentine's day fluff.

Images that have an emotional aura of heroism, legend, and the supernatural - neoclassicism with the emphasis on the imagination and emotional qualties of an image - often melancholy."

The executioner is a romantic figure. This one in particular reminded me of the executioner of Dumas' "The three musketeers". I think it's fitting, don't you?
